Homework #3 - Grace Berry

I chose this video because for me the animation was very engaging. It is the introduction to a TV show so it used to convey certain necessary information, yet it uses the graphic of the little character to keep it interesting throughout. The character has its own story line through its movements, but interacts with both the character shots that serve as a background and the being slapped on top of these images, in the style of labels printed from a label maker. Though the viewer's focus is generally on the character and his behavior, his actions work to draw emphasis to the text as well. Throughout the piece there is a constant quick shift from scene to scene, following the movement of the man. Because of the constant movement and graphic nature of all of the images used the transitions appear to be seamless. There is also a constant switch of the character ignoring the background graphics and interacting with them, so it isn't always predictable.
